Car Rental Puerto Vallarta & Lake Chapala | When Inquiring About Your Rental
First of all, when inquiring about car rental reservations please include the total number of people in your group, where you will be staying for the duration of the rental (if you're staying in different places please let us know), include arrival/departure information and let us know if you have bigger items or excessive luggage such as surf boards/golf clubs. As a result this will help us smooth out the rental process and help us prevent any foreseeable problems.
Local Use Only
Most important, please keep in mind all of our vehicles must stay within 200 kilometers of our offices.
THEREFORE OUR RENTALS ARE FOR LOCAL USE ONLY.
Vehicle Choice
Some roads here are REALLY rough, because of this its very important to check the conditions where you are going. Our Toyota Yaris compacts, VW Jettas and mini vans are not made for rougher roads. These are low clearance vehicles for that reason have a higher risk of bottoming out. PLEASE check that the house you are staying at is compatible with the car you choose. If you want to go somewhere with rough roads PLEASE choose a vehicle that has higher clearance. You can ask us about road conditions, we know the area really well.
Rate, Fee & Taxes
Above all safety is always #1. Consequently all our rates include FULL COVERAGE insurance: liability, collision and medical. When you arrive to our office we will require a Visa or MasterCard pre-authorization (deposit). On vehicles that seat 5 people the amount can go from $10,000 MXN to $15,000 MXN, for 7 passenger vehicles is $18,000 MXN, for 8 passenger vehicles is $20,000 MXN or $30,000 MXN. This pre-authorization will be reversed when the vehicle is returned.
Rate, Fee & Taxes
The rates posted on our website are for 7 days. These rates include FULL coverage insurance and IVA (Federal Mexican sales tax). Round trip VIP transportation is also included from and back to the airport. For shorter or longer terms please inquire and we will send you an accurate quote.
Misc
All rentals are for 24 hour periods and go out with a full tank, please fill up before returning. All rates are in Mexican Pesos. You can use www.xe.com for exchange rates on your desired currency at the moment of payment.
